Best Greek Islands to Visit, Best Travel Destinations of Greece, Best Greek Beaches

The Greek Islands can be found all over the coast of mainland Greece and the tip of Northern Africa. To this day, they are very popular destinations for anyone who goes on vacation.

The Greek Islands are hard to miss as they dot throughout the Aegean Sea on the South East coast of mainland Greece. They come in various sizes, shapes, and geographical varieties and the people that come to visit also come in such a variety. While island hopping is always an option, most people decide to stay on one single island for their entire holiday. The Greek Islands are traditionally divided into seven groups: Cyclades, Aegean, Dodecanese, Sporades, Ionian, Argosaronic Gulf and Crete. Crete, as a single island, is the largest one in the group.

When staying on a Greek Island for the holidays, opt to stay at a boutique hotel. This will give you a whole fresh experience by staying in a small, intimate hotel with minimum decorations and very friendly service. Elounda Gulf Villas and Suites on Crete, Katikies on Santorini and Ostraco Suites on Mykonos are unique choices to stay at and offer you the utmost serenity in an understated lap of luxury.

The part that visitors love most about the Greek Islands is the beach. Depending on which island you stay on, there are beaches of various sizes and qualities. The number of islands itself means that you are sure to find what you are hoping to, from 24-hour entertainment to historical landmarks, traditional villages and museums.

It is easy to get to some of the islands, such as Santorini and Mykonos by plane, but some of them can be reached by taking a ferry from Athens. Ferries usually follow a regular schedule and can be used to visit any island during your entire stay. These ticket operators can be found at the harbors. When on an island, however, it is recommended to hire a bike or a car, or to use the local buses for transportation. Trains are unavailable once you hit the mainland. For those who are feeling slightly more adventurous, hire a sailing boat and sail around the islands – it’s the best experience ever!

Switzerland -Beautiful Countries in Europe

Switzerland is a varied mix of French, German and Italian cultures, and is also a mix of beautiful nature (including the Swiss Alps and the Lake Geneva) and almost just as great and orderly towns.Switzerland is a small, landlocked, multi-cultural, multi-lingual country that shares its borders with Austria, France, Germany, Italy and the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein. Its central location in the heart of Europe makes it quickly and easily accessible from major European cities. Switzerland is best known for its banks, watch industry, cheese, chocolate, utterly reliable railway system and of course its scenic beauty. The mountains provide diversity and charm with a climate ranging from Mediterranean in lakeside towns to Arctic on snow-capped peaks.

Macau Casinos - The City of Dreams

Besides The Venetian, The City of Dreams (COD) is the other ambitious project at the new Cotai Strip of Macau – a purpose-built casino area between Coloane and Taipa Island (these 3 areas have more or less merged to form a big island). This is another mind-boggling development with 3 hotels anchored around the main casino. The design is very modern with acres of glass curtain walls – kind of like a city within a city. The collection of hotels is impressive – Crown Towers, Hard Rock Hotel and Grand Hyatt Macau. It is owned and managed by Melco Crown Entertainment Group, a joint venture between Lawrence Ho – Macau Casino Magnate Stanley Ho’s son and James Packer’s Crown Casino Group of Melbourne.

The light show at COD is one of the best in Macau.

Inside the gigantic complex there is also a very high-end shopping centre that is unlike any I have seen. Instead of a seamless shopping arcade connecting all the shops which is the typical model, here the shopping centre is divided into different zones each focusing on different products such as fashion, watches, etc. This concept is suppose to bestow exclusivity to the shops, but I find it a bit disjointed and confusing as there are no connections between the different zones. You need to go up and down different sets of escalators to go to a different area, rather inconvenient.

There are 2 interesting free attractions at the COD. First is Vquarium – a gigantic curved screen with water cascading down from the top. The back-projected video show features computer generated 3D mermaids which appear and disappear at regular intervals. It is entertaining mainly for small kids.

Another attraction is called “The Bubble”. It is a 20 min 360 degree 3D show featuring 5 legendary dragons, projected onto a hemispherical screen. The start of the show is the most interesting, with a light and water shower effect at the centre of the theatre. The sound effects are quite spectacular. This is a lot more impressive then the mermaids, and it is free ! Make sure you go and get tickets from the ticket counter as you will only be allowed in at the specified times.

Luang Prabang, the Jewel of Laos Country

Luang Prabang is one of the most beautiful cities in Southeast Asia. It sits at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers…and the location couldn’t be more spectacular. The rivers are full of life, from fisherman to kids and monks playing in the water.

The old part of town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with more than 30 temples still occupied by Buddhist monks. Everywhere you turn there is another incredible temple, some dating back more than 500 years. Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham for instance, has stunning gold bas reliefs lining the front outer wall:

The inside of these temples are equally impessive, often filled with statues of the Buddha:

But Luang Prabang isn’t just incredible scenery and amazing temples. The food is insanely good, whether you get it at a nice restaurant or a market stall. The Apsara Hotel is one of the nicest places to eat, right on the Nam Khan, and every dish they serve is unbeatable. Here is there dried beef salad:In addition to what the town of Luang Prabang has to offer, there are numerous side trips to incredible destinations. Check out Exotissimo Travel for the best trips available. One of the best half day trips from the town are to the gorgeous Tat Kuang Si waterfalls:
The Tat Kuang Si falls are truly spectacular. The pools of water are a cloudy turquoise color (and yes, you can swim in them!). They’re so amazing they actually look fake! Some of the falls are multi tiered:

New Zealand - Country Grand Scenery

New Zealand, about 1,250 mi (2,012 km) southeast of Australia, consists of two main islands and a number of smaller outlying islands so scattered that they range from the tropical to the antarctic. The country is the size of Colorado. New Zealand's two main components are the North Island and the South Island, separated by Cook Strait. The North Island is 515 mi (829 km) long and volcanic in its south-central part. This area contains many hot springs and beautiful geysers. South Island has the Southern Alps along its west coast, with Mount Cook the highest point. Other inhabited islands include Stewart Island, the Chatham Islands, and Great Barrier Island. The largest of the uninhabited outlying islands are the Auckland Islands , Campbell Island , the Antipodes Islands , and the Kermadec Islands .New Zealand is a country full of grand scenery, lush landscapes, culture, and a variety of wildlife. Japan:Country of Fictions

Japan is a complex country where the most extreme modernity coexists with an ancient and refined culture. Tokyo has some of the most densely packed districts anywhere, and possibly the most trendy hi-tech consumer society, yet at the same time the traditional world of Japan still lingers there and can be seen by the observant eye. I have found this duality is one of the most fascinating aspects of Japan. Besides the hyper-active city life, there is the serenity of the gardens, the austere elegance of the temples, and a general appreciation of aesthetics, which are so well expressed in Kyoto. Although it is sometimes a strange and disconcerting place, the country is free of petty crime, dishonesty, litter, and rudeness. Although they have embraced the 21st century more than any other nation, Japanese people are governed by traditional social values and etiquette and extend their civility to visitors.
